Gary McMurtrey

Gary was born in 1954. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1979 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gary spent 33 years in the aerospace industry designing and manufacturing mechanical equipment. He retired as director of engineering in 2012. Gary is married to Sheri McMurtrey, a professional musician. They have 7 children and 19 grandchildren. Following retirement they moved to Bayfield, Colorado for the mountains, lakes and outdoor activities.

Cindy currently serves as Secretary for the Montezuma County Republican Central Committee, Vice Chair for the Mesa Verde Republican Women, and Vice Chair for House District 59. She is a board supervisor for the High Desert Conservation District and represents the San Juan River Watershed on the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts Board of Directors. Cindy graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in agronomy in 1984 and retired from the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service in 2021. She is part of a multi- generational farming and ranching family in Montezuma County.
