HB21-1274 is a real head scratcher
This bill would direct the department of personnel to inventory any unused state-owned buildings, then seek out developers who would be willing to convert them into affordable housing or renewable energy facilities.
Two Questions:
- Has our state government grown so large, it doesn’t know what properties we own, and which properties are unused?
- If we have unused property, shouldn’t we be selling it for the highest possible price and returning that money to the taxpayers?
